What started as a wholesome and genuine interview, becomes a more intrusive and uncomfortable interrogation, pushing the celebrity to conform. Telling the story through the lenses of sensationalized media, Toktok navigates the narrative of queer individuals who are pressured by society to struggle between authenticity and societal expectations. Toktok expresses how the media can become personal and intrusive with “coming out” once someone lets them inside their personally decorated closet.
